My story

Hi! I’m George

I’m just a creative person drawn to UI/UX, psychology, gaming and simulation, street photography, drawing, pop culture, advertising, AI, and world wide web. My creative journey began years ago when I had to manually scan 20,000 double-sided questionnaires. And still… I don’t know where or if it will ever stop.

Some say I’m like Santa’s sack – you’ll never know what you’ll find inside. One lesser-known fact about me is that the main reason I was so eager to learn how to read was so I could go to the cinema by myself.

If you want to go further and try to separate reality from fiction, you can do it easily by downloading the e-book “The Imagined Journey of Three Friends on the Trans-Siberian Railway” by Marius Pop [here on iTunes] or the shorter version on [tedoo.ro].

On the other hand, if you’re interested in learning more about my professional achievements or how I can help you, feel free to visit me on LinkedIn [here].

A question I get asked quite often is, “How was Elo born?” The short answer is: by chance.

Several years ago, a former colleague and friend asked if I could create some illustrations for posters to brighten up the interior of a workplace psychology lab in Australia, which looked rather dull at the time. That’s how Elo came to life.

Elo never made it to Australia in the end, but the character found a home online, evolving into a unique style that continues to thrive to this day.
